ABOUT ME
I'm thoughtful, persevering, and diligent--and I strive to leave my mark on the world. I'm passionate about volunteering in my community and teaching younger students because those are the best ways I can give back. I enjoy studying geography in my free time, playing grand strategies, and making digital art. I am also a hard-working and scrupulous high school student. Currently, I am going to be studying genetics in the Independent Study & Mentorship program--which I joined to become a better leader, communicator, and professional.
MISSION STATEMENT
I want to be great. I want to be the best version of myself. I want to be able to hold my head high and walk proudly amongst my peers. I seek to find the piece of myself that is missing, as the letter Z needs one line to find symmetry. I want to find my line. I want to feel whole. I want my voice to be heard, loud and clear. Stutters and stammers should not hinder me. I want to make long-lasting bonds with my peers. I wish to be a professional, and how I do that will be primarily through ISM--rigorous assignments, valuable feedback from Mr. Pirtle, and a growth mindset are all key. I seek to study something I love. I do not know if I will find it hidden within my DNA, but I want to find that out this year. Genetics, a study so complex, so recently seeing its first great advancements. My path is still covered in fog, but I have a hazy idea--to research a specific genetic technology that is called CRISPR. I endeavor to go many steps further than I have in high school biology. If ISM were a person, I would embrace it for giving me such a fine opportunity--to finally take these first steps.
