Fight to Finish

Thursday is almost here... the day of my Original Work presentation rehearsal. My research was finalized this weekend, and all that I have left is finishing the PowerPoint slides that I'll be screensharing. My research on albinism took me the longest because of the nuance that comes with the disease--including different types, different symptoms, and complexity. After sending the notes I had collected to my mentor, Dr. Sullivan recommended I delete some genes, add some new info--the usual. With this, my long and tedious research process had seemingly come to an end. The last hurdle, on my end, is creating the animations of the karyotypes. Already, I've traced the outlines of the chromosomes. As per animating it, I was able to get a friend to show me the strings on how to navigate PowerPoint animations, thankfully. Over the next 3 days, I will be crafting each slide. I am nearly finished with my introductory slides, which are to set up my journey for the audience, and all I have left are my research display and karyotype slides. While I'm making the slides, I'll also be practicing my presentation along the way, so that I'm hopefully ready by the time Thursday comes around.
